Skatepark PV, Inc. at PV Street Fair
Thanks to all our volunteers who worked tirelessly getting signatures of support for a skate park on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Locals loved seeing the concept drawings of a skate plaza, prepared by Spohn Ranch for us. The first question every person asked was: WHERE? After two years of study, Skatepark PV, Inc. would like to see the 10,000 skate plaza at Lower Hesse Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. The park is already slated for renovation of its 19 acres. We need the allocation of public land. Skatepark PV, Inc.'s mission is to raise the $400,000 for construction by corporate sponsors and private donations. The community overwhelmingly agreed that our community needs a skate park to support the third most popular sport among youth today.
Skate the Hill, August 2010
